About the Role : They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join the team in Canton, CT. This role will assist in various aspects of financial accounting, focusing on maintaining accurate records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant :
- The Staff Accountant can assist in the preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
- The Staff Accountant will help maintain fixed asset records and assist in inventory accounting.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Preferred Staff Accountant Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- The Staff Accountant should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles (internship experience considered).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Hours : Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.
