Lighting Design Engineer Dublin, OH (Onsite)
Job Description :
- Collaborate with styling teams to set feasible directions and fix final designs. Create and review 3D layouts to communicate and confirm lighting assembly designs.
- Provide technical expertise. Understand and ensure designs meet technical requirements.
- Lead part design with suppliers, set design targets, and confirm final design drawings.
- Support part and vehicle testing and verification. Create and implement design countermeasures.
- Estimate and manage part cost including review of supplier quotes for lighting assemblies.
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Ability to cultivate and manage relationships of varying levels in / out of the organization, including supplier.
- Experience in project management and coordination of activities in a deadline- oriented engineering environment together with other members of similar experience and authority through collaboration is expected.
- Ability to acclimate to new environments, negotiate through unknowns and meet new people.
- Ability to manage time effectively and productively
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills backed by sounds analytical and quantitative reasoning
- Computer skills, such as MS Office, etc.
- Ability to prioritize / multi-task and work independently
- Collaborates internally and externally to build consensus to accomplish goals across functions.
- Formulates clear decision criteria, evaluates options, and can choose an effective option in a timely manner.
- Conducts meetings in an effective and efficient manner (preparation, coordination, facilitation, follow-up).
Qualification :
- Bachelor of Science (preferred Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) 4-year degree
- Minimum 5-7 years of closely related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
