Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Career Development, the Manager of Workforce Development is responsible for overseeing and delivering vocational counseling services to individuals seeking employment, career development, and educational advancement.
This role involves leading a team of Career Development Specialists, providing direct counseling services, and coordinating programs that support clients in achieving their vocational goals.
- Lead and supervise a team of Career Development Specialists ensuring high-quality service delivery under various workforce development programs including GVRA, SNAP E&T, TANF, SSVF, and Ability One.
- Conduct regular team meetings and individual supervision sessions to support staff development and address challenges related to case management and client support.
- Work with the Senior Vice President of Career Development in developing and implementing program strategies and goals.
- Partner with the Manager of Operations to ensure contract compliance, billing, and documentation in Provide individual and group counseling to clients, helping them identify career goals and develop actionable plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Guide clients through job search strategies, including resume development, interviewing techniques, and networking.
- Coordinate vocational counseling programs and workshops that enhance clients' job readiness and career development.
- Establish and maintain relationships with employers and community organizations to create opportunities and access to additional support services for clients.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of vocational programs, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to clients, addressing any issues that arise during their job search and employment.
- Advocate for clients with potential employers and training providers to facilitate successful placements and career progression.
- Assist clients in accessing necessary resources, such as educational programs, certification courses, and supportive services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports on program performance and client success stories.
- Utilize data to identify trends and inform program improvements.
