We have been in business for 40 years and we're currently growing, and looking for an experienced Superintendent with Heavy and Highway, and Bridge building experience.

We operate in Washington and Oregon, have a great package, take care of our employees and offer a great place to work.

Must be open to travel within 4 hours of home in Washington or Oregon - we offer per diem, company vehicle, and 4 day work weeks when traveling.

Position Overview :

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the day-to-day operations of a heavy civil and highway construction project.

This role will require extensive travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities :

Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the construction project, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other personnel.

Monitor the progress of the project and ensure it is completed on time and within budget.

Resolve any problems that arise during the project and ensure safety protocols are being met.

Prepare daily logs, weekly reports, and other paperwork related to the project.

Review plans and specifications, develop method statements and schedules, and prepare cost estimates.

Monitor and order supplies and materials when required.

Coordinate the flow of personnel and equipment on the project site.

Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a civil or highway construction environment.

Experience with bridge construction is a plus.

Understanding of engineering principles, methods, and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and other technical documents.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.
