Position : Medical Aesthetician Location : Metairie, LA Job Id : 734 # of Openings : 1 Medical Aesthetician Sanova Dermatology's Metairie office is looking for an experienced Medical Aesthetician.

Our Medical Aesthetician is a skin care specialist responsible for increasing, improving, and maintaining the healthy appearance of the skin under the delegation of a board-certified dermatologist.

This individual will provide a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s needs, developing a plan of care for the patient, and implementing this plan through safe and effective treatments delegated by a trained licensed physician.

This individual also serves as the cosmetics point person ensuring proper communication among providers, management, and staff.

The Medical Aesthetician will coordinate their skincare services with the overall practice philosophy on dermatology. Performance Objectives :

• Provides aesthetic skin care consultations for patients and recommends, as appropriate, both retail products and medical aesthetic procedures to be performed by the aesthetician when delegated by a physician or by the physician when not delegated.
• Offers delegated aesthetic services to patient, which may include procedures such as light chemical peel treatments, micro needling, and certain laser, energy, or light-based treatments (IPL, Radiofrequency, 1540 laser).
• Coordinates three cosmetic seminars per quarter, including invitations, presentations, refreshments, and follow-up.
• Implements internal marketing objectives and motivates support staff participation (includes staff training on cosmetic products and procedures, development of marketing materials, and organizing cosmetics seminars for patients and referral sources).
• Effectively plans and facilitates quarterly cosmetics meetings in the practice; reports outcomes of each meeting to the practice manager.
• Develops and maintains internal patient database; identifies target patients for mailing and telephone calls.
• Develops and maintains cosmetic inventory spreadsheets and reports to administration monthly.
• Serves as the key contact for all product vendors including those from patients, physicians, and staff members; also serves as the key contact for all laser vendors.
• Cross-train into other areas of the practice to support patient care, including but not limited to answer phones, patient follow-up calls, rooming patients, etc.
• Follows proper protocol for all prescriptive medical cosmetic procedures.
• Performs all duties and services in full compliance with Sanova Dermatology Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Current licensed aesthetician in the state of practice.
• Two to Five years of dermatologic / aesthetics experience preferred.
• Superior communication and organizational skills.
• One to two years of sales experience preferred.
• Valid BLS certification upon hire or certification obtained within thirty days of hire.
