You'll collaborate with our warehouse and production teams in Commerce City, Colorado, working a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, giving you a three-day weekend!
POSITION OVERVIEW : The Lead Production Operator serves as a senior leader of the production team. Managing the day-to-day activities to ensure that volume and quality standards are achieved. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare, document and complete manufacturing batch tickets, assigning talent for production to meet on-time customer demand.
- Execute the set-up and breakdown of equipment and inspection of mechanical parts in preparation for the manufacture / filling of MicroCare Medical products.
- Set-up and operate capper, lot code printer, re-torque machine and filler.
- Clear production lines between runs and prepare for the next batch run.
- Oversee performance of in-process quality control and visual inspection of products.
- Manage the package, label, lot, stack, and transport to skids for wrapping and shipping.
- Address and document production run issues, investigate root cause and report to Production Manager for operation metrics.
- Train and guide staff, new hires, and temporary employees, in efficient operation of equipment acting as a point of contact for line team;
ensuring safe, collaborative, and effective operation of production equipment.
- Partner with internal departments on inventory, finished good storage and shipping.
- Utilize forklift to transport goods throughout warehouse.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of lines with daily trash and cardboard disposal.
- Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participate in company safety trainings.
- Provide support in other areas of manufacturing as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE :
- Act in capacity of trainer / mentor
- Mathematical abilities for batch ticket completion and reporting
- Excellent organizational skills, with required details for big picture production to meet on-time demand
- Strong, verbal, and written communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of experience guiding / leading staff
- Forklift experience
- Excellent technical skills, Word and Excel
- Must have excellent math skills
- Able to read and write the English language
- Required to work overtime as needed
- Complete facility specific Area Lead Position training per the MicroCare Training and Development Matrix and perform any additional responsibilities per the Matrix.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Previous experience in a chemical blending environment
- Secondary education in mechanics or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- ERP- Chempax or other
PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- Lifting required of up to 55lbs unassisted and over 55lbs with lifting aides
- Continuous reaching / working overhead
- Frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, pushes, pulls, and carries items
- Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variations
