Job Summary
- Provides assessment, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for the medical management of patients.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the disease processes and practices associated with Endocrine management.
- Responsible for the development of positive professional relationships with physicians, peers, and healers.
- Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem.
- Reviews patient medical records, interviews and obtains pertinent information for medical history, family history, physical and clinical assessment, laboratory and radiologic data.
- Provides the appropriate examination of the patient and properly assesses current or chronic illnesses / conditions
- Administers diagnosis, educates patient and family members as appropriate, orders further treatment and testing as necessary, manages medication usage and provides continuity of care during acute and chronic phases of illness
- Demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge of diseases and associated medical problems.
- Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes all necessary forms and correspondence for proper patient care in a timely manner.
- Documents all patient encounters (in person and by telephone) in the EMR in a timely manner.
- Documents patient and family education, providing per quality measurement guidelines. (e.g... Electronic transmission via patient portal, utilization of education sources linked to the EMR.)
- Follows clinic policy and procedures regarding sample and stock medications.
- Completes charges by the end of the day locks notes within one week.
- Actively supports and promotes the shared mission of Norman Regional Health System to achieve strategic goals.
- In the course of providing excellent patient care, routinely orders test and referrals with NRHS strategic initiatives in mind.
- Performs all job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree from a Physician Assistant Program
Experience
- Medical office experience preferred
- Knowledge of the disease of Endocrinology is a plus
Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Focus / Specialty
Family / Individual Across the Life Span; APRN-CNP; Adult-Gerontological preferred
Licensure / Certification
- Current Oklahoma Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License.
- Specialty Certification Preferred.
Compensation / Benefits
- $48.20-$78.73 / hr depending on previous work experience.
