We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! As a member of the Elyria Site Leadership team, the Quality and Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will lead efforts managing a 24 / 7 industrial analytical laboratory.
The Catalysts division is the world’s leading supplier of environmental and process catalysts. The group employs more than 5,000, with over 30 manufacturing sites worldwide.
We develop and produce mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and technologies for a broad range of customers worldwide.
The Catalysts division also provides precious metals procurement, sales, and related services. We continue to expand our leading role in catalyst technology through continuous process and product innovation.
As a Quality Continuous Improvement Manager, You Create Chemistry By...
- Driving site goals in manufacturing technology advancement, productivity, quality improvement, off-spec elimination, non-conformance elimination, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction through continuous improvement tools like Lean and Six-Sigma.
- Facilitating plant-wide process and business systems improvement projects aligned with business needs.
- Managing the Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely completion of analytical testing for raw materials, process intermediates, and final products.
- Maintaining statistical control of all testing procedures to ensure reliable and consistent results.
- Fostering a continuous improvement mindset through effective Operational Excellence program management.
- Coaching and develop team members, motivating them to achieve high performance and supporting their career growth.
If you...
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, with a preference for Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Bring 5 years of experience in Lab Settings, specializing in Quality Management and Industrial lab operations.
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience, showcasing exceptional communication and analytical problem-solving abilities (preferred).
- Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of establishing connections with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Possess a strong understanding of statistical analysis and process control, as well as quality improvement processes / tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ideally, have experience as a Green Belt in manufacturing and / or analytical laboratory activities, with certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen to support business objectives across all functional areas.
