Job Description :
- The HR Product team is hiring an experienced Workday Analyst for our Reward team. This role will serve as a senior administrator and product solution consultant for Workday supporting Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
- This role will support the configuration, testing and management of the annual Compensation Review process in Workday, as well as other Workday compensation processes and configuration.
- This position will research, design, maintain and develop business processes and new functionality with a focus on the employee and manager experience.
- This role will be expected to lead efforts and coordination with other product groups for cross functional configuration, activities, and testing, resulting in implementing features and delivering outcomes.
- This role will also participate in or facilitate sessions to design the automation of business processes, business rules and workflows that are scalable to allow for rapidly changing experiences and strategies.
- Recognizes the needs of business customers, identifies the outcomes to achieve, identifies gaps and potential fits, participates in release and product planning while managing delivery expectations.
Responsibilities :
Provide subject matter expertise in Workday to assist and advise HR product team members in the building and expanding of the Workday application.
Provide guidance and recommendations on compensation system functionality and design to meet business needs.
- Support system releases / upgrades, enhancement requests, customer stories, and process redesign and will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system configuration.
- Perform testing and analysis to ensure the system meets or exceeds customer requirements. Ensure design solutions are validated / tested to confirm the design is working as planned, downstream impact is considered, and additional problems are not inadvertently resulting from the change.
- Recommend improvements and support HR initiatives. Support new programs and processes. Provide training to business customers on new processes / functionality as needed.
- Perform mass data loads in Workday (EIBs), proactively identify and / or correct errors in Workday business processes, employee data or data configuration and resolve the impacts of any changes to Workday processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting of complex process, application and functional issues; take ownership of issues thru resolution.
- Keep up to date on Workday functionality. Assist in the overall management of Workday releases including scope and schedule of each release, and work with the business owners to help drive adoption.
- Analyze, understand and share learnings from peer groups, Workday Community, and professional networks to build strong knowledge of the product.
Drive knowledge sharing with team members.
Log and maintain tickets in Jira, which is our HR Systems support application. Take ownership of issue though resolution.
Communicate and educate business teams as needed on resolution.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years related experience in Workday.
- Strong technical knowledge of Workday's Compensation modules, including configuration, integrations, reporting, and security.
- In-depth understanding of compensation processes, policies, and best practices.
Preferred Skills / Experience :
- Workday Pro Compensation Track and / or Certification
- Proven experience in configuration and design of complex Workday business processes, eligibility rules, validation rules, and advanced Workday configuration tasks
- Knowledge of various Workday modules, such as Compensation, Advanced Compensation, allocations, vacations, journeys, compensation cycles, reporting for compensation cycles, worksheets, payroll, core HCM and / or others
- Strong understanding of Workday business process framework required
- Advanced understanding and demonstrated abilities in support of complex analysis of current future product development, evaluations of new applications or vendors, and drive automation in complex product development
- Advanced knowledge of technology desktop software and tools (e.g. Microsoft office suite, Windows infrastructure), industry trends and tools and key enterprise software
- Thorough knowledge of HR functions and business rules including payroll, compensation, recruiting and staffing practices and benefits
- Comprehensive expertise in HR strategic platforms (Workday, JIRA, etc.) and related HR ecosystem
- Ability to negotiate priorities and manage difficult conversations in favor of advancement of digital and agile culture.
- Ability to write and analyze reports, review system audit reports and make recommendations on process or technical changes.
