Job Description

Responsibilties :

  • Exemplifies and conveys Discovery's fundamental principles and safety expectations to all field vendors.
  • Adheres to and reinforces all Discovery HSE policies.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitates monthly chemical reviews with chemical vendors and the Technical Team.
  • Collaborates closely with the Technical Team to assess monthly data and address tasks derived from data reports.
  • Manages inventory and oversees maintenance of chemical pump equipment.
  • Facilitates timely and proper chemical setup for all new applications.
  • Manages chemical inventory levels and application rates to ensure all wells receive treatment.
  • Engages directly with chemical vendors to rectify any missed treatments.
  • Monitors automated chemical levels and pump functions via SCADA.
  • Coordinates the collection of fluid samples for routine and non-routine monitoring.
  • Analyzes monitoring data to devise new strategies for chemical optimization.
  • Interprets data and formulates technical recommendations to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Reviews and authorizes all chemical invoices.
  • Holds responsibility for managing budgets related to chemical application, repair, and maintenance.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in a physical science such as Chemistry or Biology preferred. Candidates lacking a degree but possessing substantial field experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production or completions chemical application.
  • Experience in oil production is advantageous.

Skills :

  • Mechanical proficiency with a strong grasp of oilfield flow processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of specialty chemical products, their applications, oil and gas well equipment, and the impact of chemical treatment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data manipulation and interpretation.
  • Skilled in data management, including database creation, maintenance, and information extraction.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Able to thrive both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
