Salary :

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $160,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your areas of responsibility :

The Global Key Account Manager - Automotive will report to the Vice President of Sales Industrial Division and will be responsible for the development and implementation of local and global sales strategies at the OEM and Tier levels within the Automotive market segment.

This position will coordinate with the Head of Global Business Segment Automotive as well as local and global sales teams to define and carry out a structured, aligned sales process within their respective customer portfolio to include : global contracts, global pricing, & sales forecasting and budgeting.

Furthermore, the Key Account Manager :

  • Proactively develops business opportunities with existing and, especially, new key accounts.
  • Operates in a global network to support Local and Global Key Account Managers and to establish excellent contacts with the key accounts.
  • Coordinates the business of key accounts globally as interface between the key account and the FUCHS stakeholders, such as Product Management, Research & Development, Administration, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Logistics and Marketing.
  • Cooperates closely with Product Management to ensure that the customer is fully informed about the products and its technical requirements.

Travel :

It is expected that this position will have up to 50% travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico with occasional travel to the EU.

Qualifications we are looking for :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business required.
  • At least 10 years of B2B sales experience in industrial consumable products required. Experience in the Lubricants or Chemical industries preferred.
  • Strong business development acumen with knowledge and experience of consultative selling principles.
  • Key Account experience preferably at the OEM level.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce desired).
  • Solid understanding of direct selling concepts along with product and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to travel overnight when needed.
