Job Summary

The Director of Sales at Carrier Access, Inc. is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve company revenue goals.

This role involves developing strategic sales plans, managing key client relationships, and driving sales initiatives. The Director of Sales will work closely with senior leadership to align sales strategies with company objectives.

Strategic Planning :

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

Team Leadership :

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Industry Thought Leadership, someone who has an eye on the latest trends / technology and can easily articulate it to the sales team / clients.

Client Management :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of major accounts and ensure client satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring :

  • Set sales targets and KPIs / DPIs for the sales team.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Collaboration :

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and client service teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the overall business strategy.

Sales Operations :

  • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Implement and manage sales tools and CRM systems to track performance and productivity.
  • Experience handling sales escalations and enterprise clients and large complex deals

Requirements :

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 3+ years in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in the telecommunications and / or IT industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies.

Skills :

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Other :

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Strong understanding of the telecommunications and IT markets.
