The Data Solutions team, a division of the Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF) Data Strategy Department, plays a critical role in enhancing SETF's business processes, operations, and analytical capabilities by leveraging the company’s data resources to create business efficiencies and insights.

Data Solutions is accountable for the refinement of SETF data assets, the design, build, and support of automation and information solutions, and the creation of datasets for Power BI end-user consumption.
The team also acts as the SETF Power BI Center Of Excellence (COE).
Data Solutions works closely alongside DataOps members, Data Engineers, BU IT, Enterprise IT, and stakeholders to collect business requirements, transforming them into impactful solutions through partnership and deep business understanding.
Manager - Visualization and Reporting
This role requires strong knowledge and understanding, preferably hands-on experience, of data management principles, reporting and visualization techniques, business process improvement, and Citizen IT tools, mainly Microsoft Power BI, as well as other tools such as SAS, Cognos, and Tableau, in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient solutions within SETF’s data environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in collecting requirements, designing, developing, and maintaining efficient visualization and reporting solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements, and other cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient services and products.
- Get data from multiple sources and perform required data integration and modeling to prepare it for reporting and visualizations.
- Accountable for the design and development of appealing and informative reports and dashboards. Choose appropriate chart types, visualizations, and data presentation approaches to convey insights.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in visualization and reports. Optimize data queries, modeling, and data refreshes to enhance performance.
- Help set standards, guidelines, and best practices for reporting and visualization development for the SETF Power BI COE and Data Solutions.
Stay updated with new features, capabilities, and updates in Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Guide and mentor team members in best practices for visualization and reporting development lifecycles.
- Ensure the team follows Data Solutions standards for relevant artifacts such as process flows, system diagrams, data flows, and specifications documents that support the team’s methodology.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and practices.
- Obtain a deep understanding of SETF business processes, technologies, and data environments.
- Help prioritize with business stakeholders and SETF management on the development backlog, focusing on delivering value and enhanced business performance.
- Manage and assign support requests to team members, ensuring optimized service levels.
- Manage Visualization and Reporting operations for Data Solutions, the solution inventory, job scheduling, change management, and support tasks.
- Provide strategic input for the evolution of Citizen IT practices, and partner with BU IT, Enterprise IT, and stakeholders to promote data as an important asset.
- Be an active participant in the Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform COEs to efficiently evolve data practices and strengthen tool adoption at SETF and JM Family.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field based on professional experience.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Understanding of Power BI, Power Platform capabilities, SAS Enterprise Guide, and other business intelligence tools.
- Proven experience in data modeling, data management practices, visualization, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, and SAS).
- Strong understanding, preferably hands-on experience, of Data Warehousing concepts, SQL, and ETL processes.
- Strong understanding, preferably hands-on experience, of data modeling concepts and approaches.
- Strong and proven leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide a team of data professionals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Must be highly analytical, and have problem-solving, and design skills.
- Organization and time management skills to engage and provide oversight for multiple projects and initiatives in parallel.
- Certification in relevant Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft certified : Data Analyst Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant) a big plus.
- Strong familiarity with SAS, Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps), RPA, Dataverse, SharePoint, are a big plus.
- Business Process Improvement and Reengineering methodologies experience preferred. Prefer someone with an understanding and background of the automotive industry and consumer lending practices.
Good knowledge of SETF systems, processes, and data is a big plus.
