Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.
S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.
In this position, you will perform manual machining, finishing and assembly operations on various parts, tooling and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job
- Follow blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills and grinders to fabricate metal parts
- Assemble components using various fastening methods
- Finish projects using manual tools
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of proper use and interpretation of measuring tools and gauges
- Previous experience as a manual machinist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating manual machines such as lathes, mills and grinders
- Must be able to work independently
- Create fixturing to complete jobs
