3rd shift
As a Forge Operator, you will set up, operate, or tend forging machines to taper, shape, or form metal or plastic parts.
You will have the opportunity to :
Set up the 1,500-ton press and using the hydraulic manipulator loads tantalum and niobium billets to be forged according to forging schedules and dimensional requirements.
Select, inspect and maintain forging dies.
Set up and operates PLC-driven sawing equipment, horizontal and vertical saws to cut inspect and measure finished product, and prepares product and paperwork for interbuilding shipping and records all processing information.
Performs routine preventive maintenance.
Requirements :
High School or Vocational School Diploma and / or GED required.
1 year of experience related to production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers) preferred.
The use of fork trucks, overhead cranes, hand carts and hand tools experience preferred. will need to be licensed and obtain certification.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.
S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.
S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.
S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.
S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
