Description
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a PET / CT Technologist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include :
- Performs CT and PET / CT exams according to department protocols.
- Administers IV radioactive isotopes or contrast for exams
- Administers and manages radionuclide therapies according to department protocols.
- Instructs patients regarding procedures.
- Follows prescribed safety procedures
- Selects appropriate technical factors by adjusting equipment on an individual basis.
- Examines imaging studies for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness.
- Authorizes release of patients upon completion of imaging study.
- Delivers diagnostic exam to radiologists for reading / interpretation.
- Obtains patient history and clinical data for correlation with procedure; consults with physicians as necessary.
- Performs QC procedures as required and requests service on equipment as needed.
- Assists with ensuring compliance with all nuclear regulatory agencies.
- Assists with accreditation processes.
Education
Completion of accredited course in Radiologic Technology and / or Nuclear Medicine Technology
Certification / License
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) credentials.
- Current Permit to Practice in Iowa for both Radiologic Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current BCLS certification.
Days : Monday - Friday
Hours : 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience as PET / CT technologist.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience as CT technologist.
