RPA San Diego operates as a third-party administration (TPA), consulting, and strategic management branch for collectively bargained benefit plans, pooled purchasing arrangements, and trusts.

The Director of Client Strategic Marketing is a key member of our Marketing and Communications Division (MarCom) leadership and is responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective marketing and communication strategies.
This will involve facilitating strategic planning, tactical implementation, resource utilization, performance measurement, and optimization.
This role is also responsible for directing the MarCom client services and relationship management efforts. This person is excellent in building strong, trusting and lasting relationships.
They will oversee multiple creative projects and internal / external partner relationships simultaneously. The Director of Client Strategic Marketing will demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and communication while working closely across multiple cross-functional teams, proactively solving against creative and logistical challenges.

Key Director of Client Strategic Marketing duties include the following :
STRATEGIC MARKETING & CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT & OVERSIGHT
Direct the creation, and guide the execution, of marketing plans and campaigns in alignment with business goals.
Lead cross-functional teams in the strategic development, planning, execution, and evaluation of company marketing strategies.
Develop and support the implementation of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to effectively engage target audiences and promote the company's products and services.
Collaborate with higher-level stakeholders to create effective marketing campaigns and initiatives to support deeper awareness and resource utilization.
Develop outreach strategies to engage carriers and partners.
As needed work with third-party consulting firms on new projects and develop an overall communication strategy.
Contribute to the generation of innovative ideas and concepts for content strategy, ideation, and development to ensure impactful brand experiences with target audiences.
Proactively identify communications opportunities and develop supporting programs to enhance target audience engagement.
Understand the organization’s various audiences and segments and help coach stakeholders on how to better engage those audiences and utilize business models to determine effective and efficient mobilization strategies.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT
Lead the team responsible for serving as the face of the MarCom department to its internal and external clients . Manage stakeholder relationships and cultivate new relationships as needed.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand target audience needs and develop targeted marketing campaigns. Work with subject matter experts to grasp complex business subjects and effectively translate information via multiple marketing channels.
Guide the preparation of marketing presentations and materials for use at conferences, sales / key stakeholder meetings, and other initiatives.
Continually look for opportunities to improve process, delivery, and overall job experience.

DATA ANALYSIS
Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans inclusive of market research, marketing campaigns and successful advertising and public relations efforts
Guide and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies and campaigns.
Guide the incorporation of learnings from data analysis into future marketing and communication strategies to optimize performance and drive better results.
Collaborate with tactical experts to guide and establish KPIs and outcomes for each project to ensure the results of the work move the needle forward on organizational objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data tracking and analysis aligns with overall business goals and objectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data tracking and analysis to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
Provide recommendations for improvements based on data insights, such as targeting specific audience segments, refining messaging, or adjusting marketing channels.
Present data findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management, to inform decision-making and drive strategic direction.
About you : Required :
Required :
Minimum of 8+ years of high-level strategic marketing experience, with at least 5 years of team leadership experience.
Advanced knowledge of concepts, principles and methods of developing and executing marketing strategies.
Advanced ability to translate short- and long-range business goal / plans to impactful strategic marketing strategies and programs.
Advanced ability to communicate marketing strategies to internal subject matter experts to aid them in plan and strategy execution and evaluation.
Sound analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, analyze and make recommendations based on trends, insights and reports.
Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capability and able to apply to both organization and business planning
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
