Description & Responsibilities :
The Maintenance Planner-Inventory Controller will be responsible for ensuring the CMMS system (SAP) is utilized for proper control of the spare parts inventory and the scheduling of maintenance work.
Maintenance work consisting of PM work orders and ERP of Inventory for upcoming repairs and preventative actions leading to the overall business improvement.
Additionally, this position will oversee the training and utilization of the CMMS with all Maintenance personnel. This position also requires communicating the maintenance plan to operations to allow for production forecasting.
Tracking of inventory and POs for services, goods and capital spare parts purchases is essential in this role along with usage analysis from the TPM team.
- Administers entire Plant Maintenance system including updates to SAP equipment list; developing and maintaining Planned and Unplanned maintenance task lists, strategies, and plans;
- distributing and collecting new and completed work orders; kitting materials for effective maintenance activities, data entry of completed work orders, generating and reporting SAP and PM performance metrics to plant management;
analysis of key repair parts needed recommended stock levels on hand.
- Developing the plant maintenance PM system (manufacturing and facility related equipment) and maintaining it in SAP.
- Training support to maintenance and operations staff to teach how to use the system efficiently.
- Document processes and procedures for Plant Maintenance process.
Primary Responsibilities :

- Maintains adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.
- Updates SAP Inventory with any changes including POTOBs items.
- Devise methods to optimize inventory control practice and procedures.
- Ensure cycle counts and issuance of parts align for improved Maintenance scheduling
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor the upcoming scheduled maintenance activities.
- Develops and maintains Planned Maintenance task lists, strategies, and plans.
- Establishing, implementing, sustaining; PM (Preventative Maintenance), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) coordination and Inventory / Spare parts (stockroom) with in SAP to maintain an accurate database.
- Coordination of removal or addition of any new, obsolete, or transferred equipment within the CMMS provided from the property asset manager.
- Responsible for overseeing notifications are created into work orders, ensure the closure of all work orders in the SAP plant Maintenance System, the computerized Maintenance Management (information) System (CMMS) software that maintains a computer database of AEC’s maintenance operations information.
- Provides weekly progress of completion of assigned Maintenance work orders (Scheduled and Non) assisting the Maintenance Manager with problem resolution and process improvement.
- Ability to communicate written and verbally with all customers.
- Ability to report out through presentation methods for management on Maintenance and Inventory performance.
- Support and lead continuous improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost with the Planning IC scope of work.
- Contribute to process improvement and cost reduction initiatives through Inventory Control and Maintenance planning.
- Attend and participate in the Global Plant Maintenance SAP training program to learn and use the system efficiently.
- Responsible for entering and editing Maintenance Task Lists and will upload maintenance items, plans, and task lists.
- Ensure the Qualification and requalification records are properly filled out, upload electronic copy to AEC network drive and file hard copy.
Add or change the equipment to the PM system and establish PM preventative maintenance plan or update the PM system as needed.
- Conduct PM scheduling & Integration Reviews with Operations Managers to Identify opportunities for completion
- Ensure work instructions are correct and contribute to creating new ones as needed.

Position Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) :
- Basic Maintenance knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability to follow set schedules unsupervised.
- Expert knowledge in Inventory Control
- Ability to work off an eight-foot ladder
- Good computer skills
- Good knowledge of industrial safe work practices.
- Safe forklift operation experience a plus but not necessary.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, (Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
- SAP working knowledge of updating the database not user only skillset
- Previous Maintenance and Facility, Equipment Maintenance and Inventory Control working knowledge required.
