Lakeridge Health has four Emergency Departments located in Ajax, Oshawa, Port Perry and Bowmanville. The Lakeridge Health Emergency Departments are home to some of the busiest EDs in the Province, seeing approximately 100,000 visits annually.

Here's what we are looking for :
- Experienced Nurses and New Graduates
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or expected registration in Summer / Early Fall 2024
- Completion of BScN
- CC1 or willing to complete within 6 months of hire;
- Completion of CNA Emergency Nursing Certification or commitment to completing certificate within one year
- Current B.C.L.S.;
- I.V. Certified and Defibrillation Certified;
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by the CON;
- Recent Emergency / Critical Care / Med-Surg experience preferred;
- Proven EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, trauma nursing and patient assessment skills;
- Proven organizational, prioritization, critical thinking, problem-solving and teaching skills;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Sound judgement, good observation skills, tact and empathy
- Demonstrated ability to assume a charge / supervisory role;
- Physically capable of lifting, turning, transferring patients manually and with mechanical aids;
- Must have a satisfactory performance record;
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
