Position Purpose As a member of the therapy team, the Rehabilitation Aide's primary function is to assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists and Assistants (PTA's and COTA's) in the delivery of services.
The Rehab Aide performs restorative care to clients / patients according to the Therapy Plan of Care designed by a qualified therapist.
The Rehab Aide is also responsible for the safe transport of clients / patients, supplies, records, equipment, and miscellaneous therapy items.
Requirements Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant with Rehabilitation Aide Certification or†Graduate of an accredited school of PT / PTA / OT / COTA and eligible for state licensure or Prior experience and training as a Nursing Assistant, LPN or Nurses' training (minimum of 1 year) and completion of CNA competency examination.
CPR certification.
Must successfully complete Rehab Aide training and on-the-job training.
Essential Job Functions In addition to the essential job functions, may also perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Provide restorative care to clients / patients under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
Transport clients / patients, equipment, supplies, and other items as directed.
Perform client / patient care activities as assigned by the therapists Assume responsibility for client / patient, personal and environmental safety.
Perform routine and scheduled cleaning and storage of therapy equipment and supplies Perform routine clerical duties such as copying, filing, faxing, and maintaining forms, as directed.
