Job Description : Position Summary :

Position Summary :

The Director, Executive Compensation is largely focused on the company’s stock compensation program, executive compensation, and development of related material.

The incumbent will oversee the implementation, communications, and administration for executive compensation programs and build strong working relationships with disparate stakeholders while balancing the art and science of compensation to see beyond the numbers and drive for alignment on what is best for the business.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Prepares the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A), relevant tables, and other content for the annual proxy statement, coordinating with legal, accounting, and other partners.
  • Provides input into other compensation-related filings and disclosures, including Forms 4, 10-Q and 10-K.
  • Works closely with the independent compensation committee consultant and internal team on Compensation Committee material research and preparation.
  • Administers the company’s executive compensation and equity plans and programs (utilizing tools such as Workday).
  • Designs and manages processes for company’s equity program (e.g., grants, releases, insider trading blocks, taxation, forecasts of equity compensation usage, etc.

including stock options, restricted stock, and performance share units. May lead implementation of new stock administration platform.

  • Conducts competitive executive compensation benchmarking (including reviewing proxy data of peer companies), data analytics, and executive compensation survey submissions.
  • Ensures Board of Director payments and tax statements are accurately prepared, and will serve as primary resource for handling executive inquiries.
  • Delivers clear and effective communications to participants.
  • Partners with broad-based Sr. Manager, Compensation to ensure compensation programs are seamlessly delivered.

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • At least 8 years of Human Resources and / or Finance experience.
  • Must have at least 5 years of executive compensation administration experience in a mid-cap or large public company.
  • Experience designing and administering Performance Stock Unit (PSU) plans based on financial and operational metrics.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and discretion and established brand of being widely trusted, direct, truthful, and collaborative.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency and strong people skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to manage through change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact at all levels within the enterprise.
  • HR system agility (Workday preferred) and experience with E*TRADE or Fidelity a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization is desirable.
