DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This exciting career opportunity investigates allegations of insurance law violations and enforces Pennsylvania Insurance Department laws and regulations.

You will assist with investigations of insurance companies, producers, and any other persons or entities engaged and operating in the business of insurance within Pennsylvania.

Investigations are carried out by analyzing the entities' books, records, and files, including but not limited to checking accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivables, correspondence, complaints, account currents, and operating files.

You will also assist with interviewing policyholders, witnesses, and insurance company representatives to gather information, resolve complaints, and recommend appropriate action.

This role also involves preparing comprehensive reports and investigative summaries for each claim. This position is responsible for coordinating with peer divisional staff to protect Pennsylvania consumers through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, and report to the office one day per month.

In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

• Four years of experience in progressively responsible criminal investigation work, and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements :
