Your role in our mission

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project budget forecasts, ensuring they are accurate and reflect the status and future projections of the projects.
  • Monitor and control project expenses to ensure adherence to the budget. Investigate and explain variances between actual and forecasted expenditures.
  • Generate and present comprehensive financial reports to the Engagement Director, including budget status, expenditure summaries, and variance analyses.

Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to align financial planning with project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Ensure that financial considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making processes.

  • Identify potential financial risks related to projects. Analyze the impact of these risks and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement financial processes, tools, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project financial management.

Provide training and support to project teams on financial management practices.

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for project components and activities. Provide financial insights to support cost optimization and resource allocation decisions.
  • Communicate financial status and updates to internal and external stakeholders as required. Facilitate financial discussions and decision-making with project teams and senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of all financial forecasts, reports, and analyses related to projects.

What we're looking for

  • 5 years or more experience managing complex consulting project financials
  • Modern understanding of budget development, control and assurance methods, and project management software
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, with emphasis on the advanced use of MS Excel in creating and maintaining detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases
  • Strong executive presenter who communicates ideas clearly
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives on defining structure from ambiguity
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a Program Office team
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work and work under pressure to meet deadlines

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
