Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Perform various reconciliations and / or reviews of reconciliations performed by other departments.
- Creates and posts journal entries to include accruals of revenues and expenses.
- Perform analytical reviews of financial information.
- Prepare basic financial statements and various financial reports for both internal and external use.
- Work with various judicial and law enforcement departments to prepare forfeiture reports for submission to both federal and state agencies.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of procedures and operating controls designed to safeguard the County's assets.
- Maintain asset records and prepare all entries to record additions, deletions, transfers, and depreciation.
- Work with various departments to prepare financial information to be submitted to other entities.
- Review financial information and prepare various tax documents.
- Provide external auditor with required financial information as needed.
- Review of expenditure documentation to ensure proper recording.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Public Administration, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, or closely related experience.
Physical Demands :
Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Special Certifications and Licenses :
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
