Contract-to-Hire

Location : Waukesha, WI

Pay Rate : $25.00 - $30.00 / hour, plus a 15% shift bonus

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 00 PM

Job Description

As a CNC Set-Up Operator, you'll be a key part of the fabrication process, responsible for setting up and operating HAAS CNC milling and router machines. This role involves more than just machine operation; you will also provide one-on-one guidance to other operators and serve as a positive role model for our company's values and culture.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate various fabrication equipment, including HAAS CNC Mills and Routers, Amada Turret Punches, Cincinnati Press Brakes, and Schelling Panel Saws.

Follow program setup sheets to set up flat, vise, angle plate, and vacuum hold-down work.

Make adjustments to tooling, speeds, feeds, and programs to ensure optimal performance.

Manufacture complex parts based on customer orders, work orders, and blueprints.

Maintain safe operations by following all safety procedures and regulations.

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Document actions and communicate with incoming shifts to ensure a smooth transition.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Advanced math, measuring, and blueprint reading skills are required.

Strong attention to detail.

Experience with HAAS and Fanuc Controls is a plus.

Solid understanding of G & M codes, with the ability to read and troubleshoot programs at the machine.

High school diploma or GED with relevant vocational or job-related training is required.
