DevOps Engineer

Job Description :

The DevOps Engineer is involved in design, implementation and maintenance of development, test and production environments for Flexential’s web-based Customer Portal.

They will establish and run the CI / CD pipeline for on-going Portal development and facilitate running automated or on-demand test suites for business functional and non-functional testing.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Create, maintain, and enhance build framework and tools for automated / on-demand builds, deployment, monitoring and operations
• Incorporate Automation testing as part of each build type
• Create and maintain framework for automated data migrations, test data creation with data anonymity and data validations
• Maintain software Configuration management, troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments and within various pipeline stages
• Maintain Version Control Software Setup, Administration Configuration and Flows
• Collaborate with Agile development teams to architect, implement, automate and streamline CI / CD process and operations
• Maintain availability for after-hours production support on an as-needed basis.
• Research tools and procedures for better utilization of CI / CD practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale, highly available distributed systems
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps activities and procedures
• Strong experience with Docker and Container clustering technologies like Docker Swarm, AWS ECS, Kubernetes or the like
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps and the like
• Strong experience in setup, administration and configuration of source control software like GIT and Bitbucket
• Experience with Cloud services (Azure or AWS)
• Experience with or working knowledge of messaging technologies like Kafka, Database technologies like Postgres and Microservices technologies like Event Store and API Gateway
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and technologies
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology from build to deployment
• Enthusiastic self-starter interested in problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent

Base Pay Range : Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $82,635 - $116,100. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.

Variable Pay : Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
