The Accounting Manager is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
The controller will actively participate and assist in typical treasury and tax matters including reporting.
The candidate will establish, enhance, monitor, analyze and report on :
- Finance policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting systems.
- Controls needed for Inventory & Cost data accumulation and reporting.
- Analysis of product costs, inventory, and margins.
- Conduct internal reviews and provide information to external auditors.
- Optimize cash positions and reporting.
- Prepare and recommend budgets and schedules.
- Schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Collect, interpret, and report weekly, monthly, and annual financial data.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Comply with federal and state legal requirements by supporting external tax resources.
- Comply with local and sales taxes through direct filing.
- Schedule and assign finance staff and follow up on work results.
- Maintain finance staff through coaching, counseling, appraising, and disciplining.

Experience and Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA, CPA, CMA a plus).
- Minimum experience of 7 years in Controller level or above
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with multiple legal entities and financial reporting requirements.
The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000.00 - $140,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
