ROLE SUMMARY :

You are the heart of our restaurant! You are someone who loves the open communication of cooking, the creation of local chef-inspired dishes, and can help our restaurant achieve success with outstanding presentation.

You would never prepare a product that you would not serve to your own family or best friend. You are the reason our customers return again and again.

By guiding our culinary team, creating menus offering the best quality food, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, you leave a positive impression on the experiences of other people.

The Executive Chef participates in the interview and hiring process for all culinary and kitchen positions. You will also be actively involved in the training of team members in these positions.

Finally, you will play an active role in the leadership of the restaurant, helping ensure that our guests experience the level of excellent food and service that we, and they, expect.

Key Responsibilities (what our Team Members do) :

  • Manages the kitchen environment
  • Creative control regarding menu development
  • Order food and ensure quality of menu items
  • Run daily / nightly shifts
  • Keeps the kitchen clean and holds others to that standard
  • Maintains a positive attitude and work environment
  • Cascades messages between the management team and our culinary staff
  • Extensive menu knowledge
  • Encouraging staff relationships
  • Opening and closing duties
  • Team player
  • Conflict resolution
  • Needs little guidance in solving problems
  • Works hard to achieve goals
  • Organized, detailed and enjoys following standards and guidelines
  • Develops restaurant and shift goals, and works to achieve them every day
  • Follows food and safety procedures, and reports any issues to the Restaurant General Manager

Other Requirements :

  • Arrive at work on time
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Follows procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment (including fryers, ovens, etc.)
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet
  • Able to push / pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet
  • Able to stand and walk for a majority of work shift
  • Follows procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment (including fryers, ovens, etc.)
  • Adheres to restaurant and City / State / United States safety requirements
  • Knowledge of and compliance with restaurant's Human Resources policies and processes
