In this role, you will contribute by :

SUMMARY

Responsible for designing new products, processes, as well as improvements and maintenance of new and existing products.

May conduct design analysis on components and / or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, can be manufactured, and reliable.

Communicates with other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion. May provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced engineering staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Acts as subject matter expert as necessary.
  • Conceptual and detail design of commercial complex products and equipment.
  • Independently creates complete part and assembly designs and drawings for all manufactured and purchased parts - may include prototypes and models.
  • Creates complete bills of material.
  • Responsible for creating appropriate manuals and documents.
  • Interacts frequently with internal and external parties as necessary.
  • Design and implements fixtures and tools.
  • Suggests changes in procedures, standards, to facilitate work and maintain quality.
  • May approve products for release, including maintaining all relevant data records.
  • May be required to mentor, coach or lead others
  • May manage projects to include but not limited to scope, design reviews, schedule and budgeting.
  • May assist in managing department work load and project assignments.
  • Leads the development, enforcement, utilization and maintenance of internal engineering standards.
  • May be required to travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Reliable attendance is a must.

  • Complex Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Complex Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Complex Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Advanced Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • High Communication Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

High Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Very High Reasoning Skills - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Computer Skills : Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Design related software, 3-D Design Software, Internet software, Manufacturing software, Database software.
  • Project Management Ability to manage multiple workloads from a department level, assigning projects based on team members skill level and area of expertise.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 4-7years of relevant experience;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced operational knowledge of restaurant procedures and practices, equipment and skills needed to perform various tasks within a restaurant environment preferred but not required.
