Role Summary
The production assembler will support the production assembly line by working within the assigned tact time to complete the various steps of assembling complete vehicle seats for the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Learn and perform all operations in the assembly department within the allotted time and quality standards for each operation
Perform any combination of these operations throughout the day as required to meet production demands
Cleanup, seat teardown, minor rework, minor equipment maintenance and adjustments, and control of non-conforming material
Understanding of the descriptions, quality, and time requirements identified in the operator description sheets (work instruction) of every work station on both the front and rear assembly lines
Complies with Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health, and Material Management System requirements
Understand responsibility for health and safety
Cooperate with outside inspectors and auditors (IATF / ISO, OSHA, Magna, etc.) when necessary
Wear appropriate PPE
Follow all shop and safety rules
Report unsafe conditions immediately
Report injuries, accident, illnesses, near misses, and property damage immediately
Key Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or GED with three years of work experience
Ability to use a variety of tools (i.e. torque gun, screw driver and mallets, etc)
Ability to communicate needs to others in their work areas and interact in a professional manner
Ability to communicate their level of comprehension to individuals who train them and must be able to relay problems to supervisor
Physical Requirements :
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

- $17.00 Starting Wage. $17.25 after 90 days
- $1000 signing bonus payable after completion of 6 months service
