General Summary
Heavy Truck Driver is needed for China Lake Support Project.
Essential Duties
- Operate a heavy-duty truck to transport materials, merchandise or equipment.
- Plan and perform the loading and unloading of transport equipment.
- Make minor mechanical repairs and keep trucks in good working order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Must possess and maintain valid Class A, California Driver's License with N and X endorsements current DMV printout required.
- Six months verifiable experience driving heavy trucks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment and other Special Information
- Steel toed safety shoes required.
- Must have the physical strength to lift 75 pounds, tie down loads with rope or binders, hook-up 5th wheel trailers, etc.
- Must provide current DMV printout.
- Must be able to obtain DOD security clearance.
- Will be required to join Union within 90 days of non-temporary employment or transfer.
- Employer will enroll employee in DMV Pull Notice program.
