Description
St. Dominic Savio School is seeking a dedicated full-time primary instructional aide to work closely with teachers and students.
The instructional aide will support students’ academic, faith, and socio-emotional development, assist with classroom management, and participate in hands-on learning activities.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with individual and small group instruction.
- Help create a learning-conducive environment.
- Inform the homeroom teacher of individual students’ special needs.
- Provide escort and assistance to children when necessary.
- Review students’ work for compliance with the teacher’s instructions.
- Maintain individual records for each student.
- Demonstrate collaborative, patient, supportive, and energetic qualities.
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain order in the classroom and monitor students to keep them on task.
- Supervise outside activities before school, at recess, and during lunch.
Requirements :
- Practicing Catholic
- Enrolled in or have obtained a college degree (AA / BA) or college courses in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in a school setting with primary grade students
- Experience with educational technology, including iPads, Chromebooks, and Google tools, is preferred.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
