Job Purpose
This position is a customer-service oriented individual who provides frontline support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations. This role facilitates timely resolution of imaging-related issues, rounds regularly at assigned hospitals, and serves as the first point of contact for imaging technology support (e.g. PACS, Epic, Powerscribe), including remote and after-hours support by phone, and may include remotely accessing devices to identify and resolve issues. Specialist(s) require a thorough understanding of the workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS / PACS. This position includes the assurance of proper staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster planning.
