SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time, remote Medical Revenue Cycle Collections Specialist. The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable activities for accounts in the Networks and Operations business unit.
The Collections Specialist will be responsible for researching refund requests, review open recoupment and offset opportunities for approval, assigned open AR reporting with the goal of reducing delinquency for all assigned aging.
In addition to customer calls, emails, open AR reporting, and account adjustment recommendations. The Collections Specialist will also :
- Provide excellent customer service regarding collection issues.
- Have understanding of Explanation of Reimbursement and reason codes.
- Generate aged AR reports for assigned accounts to review with management.
- Thoroughly review open accounts and any issues prior to contacting client.
- Identifying, reviewing, and resolving client discrepancies such as overpayment and underpayments.
- Develop positive relationships with client contacts to review open AR on a weekly basis to reduce DSO.
- Create and maintain collection documentation for each client.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of PHI in line with HIPAA and internal Privacy and Information Security policies.
- Responsible for complying with Paradigm IT security requirement and policies.
- Responsible for safeguarding Paradigm or Paradigm related IT passwords.
- Responsible for notifying Paradigm of any IT security incidents per Policy No. 16.0 Information Security Incident Management.

- Medical A / R experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Paradigm systems and processes, customers, and industry
- Proven ability to partner and collaborate
- Excellent time management and prioritization
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Clear, concise and professional verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate with all members of the company and external customers.
Ability to handle communicate with diplomacy and tact.
The ability to operate a personal computer for extended periods
