Job Description

We are seeking a experienced Paver Operators to join our dynamic team in Maryland. The selected candidate will be tasked with operating and maintaining paving equipment and machinery, ensuring the proper application of asphalt or concrete on roads and surfaces, and following project plans and specifications to ensure the correct application of materials.

Responsibilities also include inspecting paving equipment and machinery to ensure proper function, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

The successful candidate will assist with worksite preparation, coordinate with other crew members to complete projects within the given timeframe, and ensure that all work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Regular attendance at safety meetings and participation in safety training is required.

Shift

• Candidates must be open to working day or night shifts.
• Monday to Saturday 06 : 00AM to 04 : 30PM
• Sunday to Thursday, 07 : 00PM to 05 : 00AM

Hard Skills

• 3+ years of Paver Operator experience
• Experience in operating and maintaining paving equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of the proper application of asphalt or concrete on roads and surfaces
• Ability to follow project plans and specifications
• Ability to inspect and perform routine maintenance on paving equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of worksite preparation
• Understanding of company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations

Soft Skills

• Coordination with other crew members
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ability to attend safety meetings and participate in safety training

Work Site

Service areas include St. Mary's County and occasionally DC and Northern Virginia.

Work Environment

Outdoor construction environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and hot asphalt.
