Western Maine Primary Care, a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital, is currently seeking a *Family Physician Assistant (PA) *to join our exceptional team of providers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education : *Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program with two years of Physician Assistant experience preferred.
MSN required.* *License / Certifications : * Current Physician Assistant license issued by the State of Maine or eligible of licensure, NCCPA certification.
Current BCLS required* Provide direct patient care for more complex SUD patients ie those with opioid use disorder, stimulant use disorder and / or alcohol use disorder* Provide consultation services for treatment of Hepatitis C with concurrent substance use disorder and active hepatitis C* Provide all aspect of primary care for a specific patient panel* Knowledge of nursing processes;
health care systems, structure and functions; and community resources* Knowledge of chart / medical record documentation requirements and federal / state laws related to release of health care information* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff* Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination* Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages (include vivitrol and sublocade) injections and measure results* Ability to respond the changing workload based on patient census* Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations* Proficient computer skills*Additional Information *MaineHealth is a not-for-profit integrated health system whose vision is, Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.
