Pay Rate : $20 - $24 per hourJob Summary / Objective : As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for interpreting assembly drawings, measuring materials, and cutting them to precise sizes and shapes.
The products crafted in this role must have exact dimensions and be free of inconsistencies. Any uncertainties about assembly should be communicated to the CAD draftsperson or the Fabrication Foreman.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Operate fabrication and machine shop equipment and machinery.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces.
- Assemble workpieces according to job specifications.
- Operate any necessary equipment to complete tasks.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the department lead or supervisor.
- Complete any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position does not have any direct supervisory duties.Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
Full-time position with potential for long hours and occasional weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Experience and Skills Preferred :
- 2+ years of experience in a fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in using a tape measure and calipers.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
- Basic knowledge and experience with metal shop equipment, including table saws, miter saws, drill presses, rolling equipment, mills, lathes, and metal shears.
- Some electrical and soldering knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, while adhering to safety rules and techniques.
- Strong understanding and application of safety practices regarding all machinery and tools.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
