Employee Relations Specialist

Overview

The Employee Relations specialist plays a key role in maintaining positive employee relations, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.

Responsibilities

Employee Relations :

  • Proactively address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on workplace concerns.

Investigations :

  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or alleged policy violations.
  • Document findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Partner with HR Business Partners as needed.

Performance Improvement :

Provide coaching and guidance to managers in addressing performance issues, including initiative the corrective action process when appropriate.

Policy Implementation :

  • Assist in informing and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent application and understanding of policies throughout the organization.

Conflict Resolution

  • Mediate disputes and conflicts between employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide guidance to managers on handling employee relations issues.

Compliance :

  • Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee relations or a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
  • Effective conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient with HR Acuity a plus.
