Position Overview :
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Coach to support our Head Coach in all aspects of team development and performance.
The Assistant Coach will play a crucial role in planning and executing training sessions, analyzing game strategies, and providing on-ice and off-ice guidance to our players.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing practice plans and game strategies.
- Provide on-ice instruction and skill development sessions to enhance player performance.
- Analyze game footage and provide constructive feedback to players to facilitate improvement.
- Assist with scouting and recruitment efforts to identify talented prospects for the team.
- Support the Head Coach in managing team logistics and administrative tasks as needed.
- Practice Planning / Execution
- Film work daily w / individuals / team
- Travel / Game ops / Equipment help
- College / Advisor outreach
- NAHL understanding of league operations
- Active in summer camps / drafts / tenders
- Coordinating and maintaining all matters related to player housing
- Responsible for player travel in and out to the team
- Player Immigration
Qualifications :
- Previous coaching experience at the junior, college, or pro hockey level or higher is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of hockey fundamentals, strategies, and tactics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with players, staff, and management.
- Dedication to player development and a passion for supporting athletes in reaching their full potential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate team schedules and travel requirements.
