Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity / IT Project Manager to join our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex Cybersecurity / IT projects, including deployment and migration of Cloud based technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Cloud, Sentinel SIEM solutions, and other Azure services such as Log Analytics, Logic apps, etc.

The candidate will be expected to manage client relationships and be responsible for planning projects, overseeing implementation, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

In addition, the project manager will be responsible for tracking all aspects of projects from project initiation to close out to ensure that the project is delivered on time within budget.

Expected impact (list of day-to-day responsibilities) :

  • Lead deployment and migration of Microsoft Azure Cloud Sentinel SIEM and other cybersecurity projects for clients.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate customer onboarding / migration plans and ensure clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Foster collaboration between executive leaders, stakeholders, and customers to support resource planning, change management, and project pipeline decisions.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and application development teams to understand and address functional, data, and security requirements.
  • Analyze technical debt and define a roadmap for aligning with current and future standards.
  • Manage project risks, ensuring mitigation plans are in place, and track project deliverables to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and communicate project progress to senior management and stakeholders internally and externally.

Required Skills / Experience (the must haves) :

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, focusing on cloud and IT transitions, transformations, and migrations.
  • Extensive experience with Azure and cloud services deployments, including managing mass migrations.
  • Skilled in IT applications, infrastructure management, and IT technology deployments.
  • Proficient in project management tools like MPP (e.g., Microsoft Project Online) and cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple, complex projects and client migrations simultaneously.
  • Expertise with Microsoft tools (MS Teams, Outlook, Office Suite) and quickly adaptable to new software.
  • In-depth understanding of IT procedures, best practices, and cloud environments.
  • PMP certified, with leadership skills to guide teams and ensure successful project delivery, including potential after-hours work for migrations.

Bonus (the nice to haves) :

  • Experience with MS Azure Cloud and Sentinel deployments / migrations is highly valued.
  • Certifications in AWS, MS Azure, or cloud-based products are a plus.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise systems is a great advantage.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field is beneficial.
  • Certifications like CISSP or other cybersecurity credentials are a bonus.
  • A solid grasp of cybersecurity standards and regulations (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS) is highly desirable.
