Tax Risk & Control Manager

This position will be responsible for coordinating and managing Autoliv’s key tax processes. The person will report to the Senior Director Tax Risk and work closely with the Autoliv Tax Team as well as the global finance organization.
The role will develop and execute the Autoliv Group Tax Strategy, with focus on end-to-end processes connected to tax risks and internal controls, technology, innovation, business integration, global awareness.
What you’ll do :
- Coordinate key global tax processes including the design and execution of best in class and efficient tax end-to-end way of working, examples of areas are :
- Tax risk, tax provision, tax compliance, tax audits, Pillar II, Sustainability
- Work with management and teams across regions to drive tax initiatives and tax issue resolution.
- Manage Autoliv’s tax controls framework including both SOX and other internal controls to manage tax risk throughout the group.
Act as a tax risk manager through ongoing assessment and awareness of the tax environment and the Company’s adherence to applicable tax reporting obligations.
- Coordinate and execute the tax provision process for the countries in Autoliv’s Asia division, including Japan, India, Korea, Thailand, and others.
- Support Autoliv’s Global Tax team in different projects.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related issues with focus on operations in Asia.
- Drive continuous improvement within the tax area with particular focus on tax technology.
- Drive tax process optimizations, develop and implement procedural changes and / or processes to improve the tax function.
- Develop efficiency drivers and KPIs that reduce cost and improve quality.
What is required :
- Very strong US GAAP Tax reporting experience.
- Good understanding of US Tax rules and compliance.
- Experience in international tax and transfer pricing.
- Experience with control framework including SOX.
- Significant experience from process and end-to-end oriented ways of working.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload to drive results, solve problems, and take accountability for deadlines / outcomes.
- Proven results in executing continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of finance and tax-related systems like OneStream, CorpTax, Power BI or other systems related to tax technology.
- Good understanding of Finance and Tax Data.
- Strong leadership, project management, and execution capabilities, especially around E2E processes, automation, and technology.
- Very good strategic and critical thinking.
- Very good ability to communicate messages to persons outside the area of tax.
- Demonstrates accountability and innovation.
- Business Acumen; Business-oriented with strong business partnering skills.
- Proactive solution-oriented person who is used to working independently.
Experience
- Relevant degree in tax, business, commerce, accounting, or law.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience from in-house role or similar.
- Experience implementing change in complex organizations.
- Excellent knowledge in written and spoken business English.
