Monitoring Solutions EngineerIMPORTANT TO KNOW : This is a remote position.Resource will be paid as a W-2 employee by the staffing supplier.
Supplier will provide equipment / laptop to the resource for this engagement.Job Summary : Design, develop, and deploy various Enterprise Monitoring tools and solutions.
This role is to continue developing and executing the Enterprise Monitoring roadmap as we iterate through the plan. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in the implementation and administration of Enterprise Monitoring.Job Responsibilities :
- Design, develop and deploy various application, infrastructure, and network monitoring solutions
- Develop functional procedure and system documentation as needed
- Develop dashboards for IT operations, production support, app / dev teams, as well as executives
- Analyze and identify thresholds to establish meaningful alerts
- Work with infrastructure teams to establish baseline monitoring and thresholds for core technologies
- Work with IT teams to create custom alerts for critical services
- Work with various teams to understand transactions that need to be monitored and develop solutions to meet those requirements
- Perform configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of monitoring platforms
- Education Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or specific relevant experience.Experience Requirements :
- 4+ years of combined experience in Monitoring, Software / Systems Engineering, Business / System Analysis, Application SME role
- 5+ years in large enterprise environmentsRequired Skills / Knowledge :
- Good written and oral skills in local language
- Motivated self-starter capable of working on individual tasks as well as team-oriented tasks
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and escalate as needed
- Skilled in problem solving and learning new technologies
- Application Performance Monitoring (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.)
- Log Management (Splunk Enterprise)
- Network Monitoring (SevOne, ThousandEyes, etc.)
- Event Correlation / AIOPS (Moogsoft)
- Cloud Technologies including AWS, Azure, Terraform, Salesforce, Heroku, Mulesoft
- Windows / Unix / AIX / Linux / Solaris Server, Networking (Cisco), VOIP, IIS, Active Directory, Virtualization
- SOAP / XML, JavaScript, Java, Python, .NET, WebSphere, JBoss, Databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL), Selenium, ELK, Ansible, Jenkins, MorpheusINTERVIEW PROCESS :
