We're looking for a Line Supervisor at our facility in Junction City, Oregon. We offer excellent benefits and a competitive wage.
SUMMARY : The primary responsibility of this position is to provide hands-on supervision of plant production activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise day-to-day manufacturing activities and work directly with all staff to achieve production objectives.
- Partner with other Production leadership to coordinate personnel allocation and production activities within and between work areas.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Production Operators, assessing employee capabilities and delivering training to address identified gaps.
- Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure the clean and sanitary conditions of the facility according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Inspect ingredients, packaging, and equipment to determine production-readiness.
- Enforce and advocate for company policies, standards, and protocols.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory or lead hand role in a manufacturing environment; preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in the food processing industry
- Demonstrated superior decision making and problem-solving abilities
- Strong record of working with tight deadlines and high volumes of product
- Highly motivated and efficient while possessing both interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude
- Adept at working directly with production personnel
- Ability to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling job requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing and walking up to 8 hours
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift
- Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights and climb steps with ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs
