This Occupational Therapist II Weymouth will be responsible for :
- Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction in accordance with established departmental and professional practice guidelines, standards and protocols.
- Performing evaluations, assigning occupational therapy diagnoses
- Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals
- Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs
- Instructing and educating patients / families
- Representing service on committees, at meetings and educational programs within the department and hospital.
- Serving as a resource in general pediatrics. Participating in unit and department quality improvement program.
- Providing direction, supervision and follow up as needed to ensure tasks are performed according to established standards and guidelines.
- Monitors performance, provides guidance and feedback and preparing and conducting student evaluations. May participate in departmental training and staff development programs.
- May act as a supervisor for assigned direct reports, including occupational therapist assistants (OTA) or rehab aides.
- Assisting in monitoring work assignments, identifying areas for improvement and professional development, providing instruction and feedback, and participating in performance evaluations.
To qualify, you must have :
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- 3-5 years of OT experience required, previous supervisory experience preferred
- Active state of MA OT license
- Pediatric OT experience highly preferred
This position is M-F, and is eligible for a $5000 sign on bonus!
