Brick Layer

Position : Brick Layer / Mason

Pay : $35 - $40+ per hour

Duration : 7 months (Two projects)

About Us :

We are seeking a skilled Brick Layer / Mason to join our team for two upcoming projects, each lasting several months. If you are passionate about masonry and have the expertise to deliver high-quality work, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities :

• Install CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) and block units up to 50-60 feet high.
• Measure distances from reference points and mark guidelines on working surfaces according to construction drawings.
• Establish layouts to maintain uniform mortar bed joints, ensuring accurate height with full masonry units.
• Spread soft bed mortar as a base (bed joint) and binder for masonry units, including adding the vertical cross joint between units.
• Maintain a consistent bond on each course of units, ensuring proper layout for full or half units at door / window jambs or wall ends.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of courses while maintaining a clean face on exposed walls.
• Utilize appropriate jointing tools to finish exposed bed and cross joints.
• Employ both mechanical and adhesive methods to attach masonry units for wall veneer surfaces.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial brick masonry.
• Proven ability to work on large-scale projects with precision and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of masonry techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
