Strategic Engagements and Events Specialist Location : Allied Command Transformation (ACT), Norfolk, VA Department : Strategic Engagements and Communication Role Overview : The Strategic Engagements and Events Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-profile events and strategic engagements within NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT).

This role supports NATO’s strategic objectives by ensuring that all events and engagements are effectively managed, align with NATO’s mission, and enhance the organization’s visibility and influence across the Alliance and beyond.

Key Responsibilities : Event Planning and Management : Lead the organization of key NATO events such as the NATO-Industry Forum, Resilience Symposium, and other high-level strategic engagements.

This includes coordinating logistics, managing event timelines, and ensuring all events are executed flawlessly. Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including NATO members, partner nations, industry leaders, and international organizations, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Ensure that stakeholder engagement activities support NATO’s strategic goals. Strategic Communication : Develop and implement communication strategies that enhance the visibility of NATO’s initiatives and events.

Prepare briefings, reports, and strategic messaging to support engagement efforts. Logistics Coordination : Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, travel arrangements, accommodations, and on-site coordination.

Ensure all logistical needs are met to support successful event execution. Budget Management : Oversee the budget for events and engagements, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of quality and impact.

Continuous Improvement : Evaluate the effectiveness of each event and engagement, gathering feedback and analyzing outcomes to inform future activities.

Implement best practices to continuously improve the planning and execution of strategic engagements. Qualifications : Education : A bachelor’s degree in event management, communications, international relations, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications in event management or public relations are preferred. Experience : At least 5 years of experience in event management, strategic communications, or public relations, preferably within an international or defense organization.

Experience with NATO or similar multinational organizations is highly desirable. Technical Skills : Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with strategic communication tools.

Experience with budgeting and financial management is also required. Soft Skills : Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
