The role

You will be joining a world class team of Application Engineers and will take ownership of helping our customers to understand, integrate and achieve success with our products.

Your role will have high visibility within the organisation and opportunity for close engagement with our key customers, providing technical support all the way through from the early stages of selection of IP through to mass production and end of life of the product.

You will :

• Work closely with the sales and product teams to showcase the technical capabilities and value of our products to potential customers and partners.
• Own the management and support of technical issues, liaising with the global AE team as well as development teams and management throughout the company.
• Become an expert in IMG products to enable close working with customers to solve their technical issues including deep dive analysis and debug as well as providing training to customers and other stakeholders.

You'll have :

• Experience in (Field) Application Engineering or other customer facing roles with a semiconductor or semiconductor IP company.
• Experience with technical management of customer accounts, providing training and debug of customer issues.
• Good organizational, technical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience of working with GPUs is strongly desired.
• Experience of programming languages such as C / C++
• Sound understanding of linux Kernel and User mode debugging
• Experience in either graphics or compute APIs
• At least one of OpenGL / OpenGLES / DirectX / Vulkan / OpenCL

You might also have :

• Any experience on any AI / ML framework is added advantage.
• Exposure to developing Graphics / Display drivers for Android / Linux / Windows operating systems.
• Experience of optimization and profiling for software Graphics / Compute applications.
• Relevant to Graphics - Experience working and debugging on Integrity, QNX, VxWorks or any RTOS.
• Relevant to Graphics - Knowledge of hypervisors (e.g., Xen, Jailhouse or similar Hypervisors)
• Experience interacting with opensource community and upstreaming.
• Automotive industry exposure and knowledge of ISO 26262, ASIL, MISRA-C coding standards.
• Experience interacting with open-source community and upstreaming.
