The Quality Control (QC) Specialist in a medical warehouse is responsible for inspecting, testing, and monitoring the quality of medical products, equipment, and supplies
They ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines, ensuring that all products distributed meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect incoming medical products, materials, and supplies for quality and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct tests on products, equipment, and materials to verify functionality, safety, and durability.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products, including expiration dates, lot numbers, and storage conditions.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and findings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare quality control reports and submit findings to warehouse management and other relevant departments.
- Monitor and document any quality control issues, non-compliance, or defects.
- Ensure all products and warehouse operations comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO) and internal quality standards.
- Stay updated on any changes to medical regulations or industry standards and ensure warehouse processes align with them.
- Monitor inventory for damaged, expired, or defective products and coordinate their proper disposal or return.
- Verify that the warehouse's stock rotation follows First In, First Out (FIFO) or First Expired, First Out (FEFO) methods, as required for medical products.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure they understand and follow quality control processes.
- Train team members on proper handling, storage, and inspection of medical products to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, shipping, and receiving, to maintain quality throughout the supply chain.
Problem-Solving and Corrective Actions :
Investigate product complaints or issues related to quality, and work with cross-functional teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all corrective actions are documented and that processes are adjusted to prevent the recurrence of quality issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in quality control, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare warehouse environment.
Ability to identify defects and irregularities in products and materials, ensuring strict quality standards are met.
Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with different teams.
Skilled in identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
Capable of lifting and inspecting products and standing for long periods, as required in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment :
This position is primarily based in a medical warehouse, with frequent exposure to warehouse conditions, including handling medical supplies and equipment.
May involve standing, walking, and inspecting materials for extended periods.
