USC Gould School of Law is seeking an instructor to develop curriculum for and teach our online Sports Law in Practice (LAW-) class.
The instructor will spend - hours / week developing curriculum for this new online course alongside our team of instructional designers.
The instructor will then teach the course in 5. We expect that the instructor will spend approximately - hours of work per week on instruction of the course, including the timely grading of assignments and communication with students.
Students enrolled in this course will be in our Online LL.M., Online M.S.L., and various of our Online Certificate programs.
Courses will be developed and taught fully online; lecturers may work from any location. Candidates should have strong professional background in the field, preferably with law school and / or online teaching experience.
Sports Law in Practice (2 units)
This course will examine the legal relationships between various sports industry participants (athletes, teams, leagues, governing bodies, sports facilities, licensees, broadcasters, and fans) through various legal lenses (contract law, antitrust law, labor law, intellectual property law, constitutional law, and tort law).
USC reserves the Adjunct appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere.
Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
The base salary range for this position is $2, - $9, per semester.
