Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a focus on Trust and Estate law to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will provide full administrative and legal support to our team of attorneys specializing in Trust and Estate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal field, preferably in Trust and Estate law.
Responsibilities :
1. Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel.
2. Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, trusts, wills, and estate planning documents.
3. Manage case files from opening to closing, ensuring all necessary documents are included and deadlines are met.
4. Use e-filing systems to file legal documents with courts.
5. Manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
6. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties in a professional manner.
7. Use FileSite and iManage for document management and Elite for financial management.
8. Ensure the confidentiality of all client and firm information.
9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the firm.
Qualifications :
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in Trust and Estate law.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
3. Experience with e-filing systems, case file management, and drafting pleadings.
4. Knowledge of FileSite, iManage, and Elite software systems.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and interact professionally with all levels of staff, attorneys, and clients.
10. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
